Writing Prompt Response 11

Then, came four days of grey.

Four Days – Promptuarium

The Teachings say the World was not Created but Found. The Craftors scoured the stars until This, Our Most Golden Star, amongst all the silver and copper, was found, with This, Our Most Fertile World, located Most Ideally in the Golden Zone. The Craftors moved the planet from the edges of the Golden Belt to the center and found Silver and Copper to shape into Our Moons, one Close and one Far to stand as guards against the dangers of the Emptiness. Then the Craftors looked upon the land and water, shaping the mountains and lands to their rightful places within the Great Blue Seas. Upon the Highest of Crests, This Nearest to the Heavens, They first set foot, and surveyed This Most Fertile of Worlds as it awakened to Life, pleased with what they saw.

The Teachings say the peoples of This Most Fertile of Worlds, were not Crafted with the Brightening of the Dawn, but with the fall of the Calm of Night. It was then that came the Four Days of Grey, upon that Highest of Crests, This Nearest to the Heavens. The Shrouds of the Skies, those of the Mystical kind (no ordinary mist, fog nor cloud) blanketed the Highest of Crests, This Nearest to the Heavens. Night never left, nor Dawn never came. The Craftors remained upon the Top of the World for Four Cycles of the Golden Star, while the World remained Grey. There on the Highest of Crests, This Nearest to the Heavens, the Peoples of This Most Fertile of Worlds was given form, each unique and Crafted to the image of their Craftor, but also the same, as they share the Form of the Craftors: two arms, two legs, two eyes, two ears, one nose, and one tail. We, the People, will always be unique to Our Craftor, and always bound by the World Upon Which We Were Crafted.

Four Days of Grey passed. These Four Cycles of the Golden Star passed. When the Dawn of the Fifth brightened upon the World, a collective breath from the Craftors blew into the new Peoples, giving Us Life. It was on that Fifth Day We were Born and Named, and the Craftors became something more. They became Creators. Upon the Highest of Crests, This Nearest to the Heavens, We took our first steps amongst the Creators, and spoke our first words in the language of the Creators. But as we grew, the Creators saw that we needed to begin our existence in Independence. So, each of the Creators took their Children and led them to their Homelands, whereupon the Creators rose to the Heavens to Watch over us as we, their Prodigy, live and grow.

Now we must rise to Greatness, in thanks to Those Who Created Us.
